Screen Time

Screen time boundaries without turning every limit into a battle

Clear agreements work better when children know what to expect, why it matters, and what comes next after the screen turns off.

Screen limits become harder when they arrive as surprises. Children do better when the agreement is clear before the screen starts.

Make the ending visible

Use a timer, name what happens next, and give a short transition: “When this episode ends, we are putting the tablet away and choosing a snack.”

The boundary is easier to accept when the child can see the path after it.
